Central Panel

Central Panel - A Boeing 737-800 Homecockpit #52

The central panel adds dimming to the overhead. I bought some cheap dimmers to get use of their electronics. Now one of them is controlling the backlighting of the complete overhead panel. The plan is to split the output of the dimmer into different power plugs and connect these with power plugs of the different backlighting panels.

So every panel segment stays modular and can be disconnected from the electronics by pulling one power connector and some D-sub connectors.

Materials needed:

  • 3mm transparent and white acrylic
  • 2 big ON-OFF switches
  • 3 ON-OFF-ON switches
  • 2 push buttons
  • switch cap build from a molded cap
  • 3 Boeing type 1 knob
  • 4 yellow annunciators
  • 1 blue annunciator
  • 8 15 mm hex standoffs
  • LED stripes for backlighting mounted on a HDF plate
  • 3mm HDF plate
  • 2 dimmers
  • 1 black switch guard

The download package contains all the files you need to cut out and engrave your own panel.

    Hi Mickey
Thank you for a new panel. I follow you with great interest. It seem that the text is missing at the topp panel. Is this correct?
    Best Regards Kjetil
