MIP Captain upper panel

MIP Captain Upper Panel - A Boeing 737-800 Homecockpit #77

The captain's upper panel is the first panel section that finds its way into the MIP panel. Everything fittet in like designed and so I'm very happy again that I have started to design my panels in 3D. You can see the end result before the production starts and see if it fits into the available space.

Beside this it is an easy to build panel with well known components. Just some LEDs and buttons. And after I have found a good installation technique for the LEDs of the autopilot buttons, these buttons have a crisp clicking event.

Used materials:

  • 3 mm transparent and white acrylic
  • 1 big momentary ON - OFF - ON switch
  • 1 small momentary (ON) - OFF - (ON) switch
  • 3 push buttons (6 x 6 x 8 mm)
  • 2 8-position rotary switches
  • 4 15 mm male hex stand offs
  • 3 orange annunciators
  • 2 red annunciator
  • 1 green annunciator
  • 3 yellow LEDs
  • 2 red LEDs
  • LED stripes for backlighting
  • 3 mm HDF board for backlighting
  • 2 Type 1 knobs

In the download file you will find all the needed files to cut out and engrave your own panel as well as the 3D files for the buttons and Stab Trim annunciator.
