Ceiling Frame

The frame was build around the outline of the overhead dummy and the upper window frame. It was designed to let the cockpit ceiling being splitable into three parts. The overhead and the left and right frame part. So I can move all parts if necessary. When you use my sketchup file, check the angles of the outline and adapt them to your cockpit.

The frame beams  don't follow the original ceiling at all points. At some points I will have to mount the ceiling coverage with a little offset to the frame. But I thought it was the better decision to let some space now to be safe than running out of space later.

Material used:

  • 55x35mm wooden bars
  • 6mm threaded rod
  • Washers
  • Nuts
  • 8mm threaded rod
